I’m Steven Bradshaw. I’m a pastor, writer, husband, dad, and follower of Jesus trying to live faithfully.

Since July 2025, I’ve had the privilege of serving as pastor of Star Hope Baptist Church in Elsberry, Missouri. My heart is to help people know, love, and follow King Jesus and to live in awe of the Gospel that made that possible.

This blog is where I write about Scripture, faith, and the Christian life. Not for academics or theologians… for ordinary people navigating real life with their Bibles open.

When I’m not preaching or studying, you’ll probably find me reading, snapping photos, drawing, or digging through my embarrassingly large pencil collection. My wife Kristin and I have four incredible daughters, a great son-in-law, a beautiful grandson, and two “kinda-ok” dogs. Life is full, loud, and a lot of fun.

I’m a lifelong Lakers fan, proudly root for the Texas Longhorns and St. Louis Cardinals, and I will never turn down bacon, tacos, raw oysters, or good coffee.
